Home business opportunity scams

Don’t Be One of The Millions To Fall For Home Business Opportunity Scams.

Reading Terminal Market Philadelphia 10

If you are looking for a home based business or any other way to make money working at home, then you’ve likely been overwhelmed with the abundance of information. You can’t search for “work at home” on the internet without being bombarded by millions of poorly worded ads - all of which claim to be the BEST work at home opportunity.

So how can you find which one is truly best for you without having to try them all? Well, there are a lot of factors, but here are some highlights for you to consider before jumping into a new business venture.

Working at home can be a great lifestyle, but it’s not for everyone. Find out if it’s right for you by answering the following questions:

- Are you a disciplined person (i.e. can you successfully work without supervision?)

- How much time are you willing to invest in a job/business? - Do you want to work 100% from home or would you like to work outside the home a set number of hours per week?

- How much money are you comfortable with spending to start a business?

- How much money do you expect to make from your business?

- Do you enjoy working with others or do you prefer to work alone?

Once you have the answers to these questions, you are ready to confront the mounds of advertisements for work at home opportunities. The next step is to see how well your needs and wants fit into the businesses available to you.

Before agreeing to any type of business, it’s helpful to find someone who is already doing the business and ask them the following questions:

- How many  hours do you work each week?

- What does your average daily business routine consist of? (This will help you determine if you’d enjoy doing what they’re doing.)

- What costs are involved in starting and operating the business?

- What is the product or service you sell?

- How much money can I REALISTICALLY expect to make working the number of hours you’ll put in?

Now that you have your answers, you can research home business opportunities and write down the top 3 business opportunities that you think appeal to you the most. Then take your time to think it over thoroughly.

Starting a new business should never be a spontaneous decision - especially if there is a large financial investment. Take some time - at least a couple weeks! - and sincerely think about and compare each opportunity until you feel confident with the one you’ve chosen.

Finally, I do have a couple of words of warning for you when searching for that “golden” opportunity.

If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Whether it’s a business online or a traditional offline business, all businesses require a lot of work. Anything that claims to be easy, or that reportedly doesn’t require work should be quickly skipped over.

You should NEVER…I repeat NEVER have to pay someone just to receive information about a job or business opportunity.

If an advertisement seems extremely vague, it’s most definitely intentional. A good number of “too good to be true” offers don’t give you all the details up front because they know if they do, no one would be interested.

Most importantly, be well informed. Do not give ANYONE your hard-earned money until you have the answers to your questions and are fully confident that you’re making a wise financial decision. Running your own home business can be very rewarding if you’re willing to put in the necessary research to find what kind of home business fits your and your needs bests.

Moving again…

ship

I always wanted to go back home to settle down and to take proper care of my business. Many people will wish to me in my shoes, travelling around the world meeting new people and learning new cultures. I have imagined how I was going to feel when the time comes; I have acquired knowledge in the line of business I dreamt of owning. Plans are written, contacts have been made, and equipments have been bought. Without notice the time approached like a raging wild fire in the dry season .For the fact that I have always anticipated this period one would expect me to receive the sudden news with joy was not the case. My first reaction was; why are they driving us away, panic! That fear of the unknown, am I ready for a change now? We all react to change in our own different ways, the fear of uprooting my kids from their schools and friends. I feel this way more because am not going back to where I used to know but to a completely new state. Everything is going to be on a clean slate, I ponder will they welcome the change that am bringing with me? Can I trust anyone there to share the same burning passion that I have for my work, in order to achieve my life long dreams? How long are we going to be there, will it be long enough for my business to start up? Will my in-laws be coming to my house unannounced? Will relations start stressing my husband out? I am just happy that I wouldn’t have much to pack this time, because I didn’t buy much which very unsual.
How do you handle change in your life?

Are your goals leading you to success?

Goal

If you are not too sure your goals are leading to success or not, then you are at the right place.
Remember the difference between ambition and arrogance, when you put everything together I can’t see anything standing in your way to success.

10 Ways To Ensure Your Goals Are Leading You To Success

Success, energy, passion and commitment are created by success - success at accomplishing the goals we have set for ourselves, and the goals that others have set for or with us. Nothing is more powerful than accomplishment.

Many of us never seem to complete all the goals and tasks we set for ourselves on a daily and weekly and monthly basis. We tend to focus on what we didn’t do, rather than on all the things that got done. The effect of overbooking ourselves is that we probably get more done, but the price of never meeting all of our own commitments can be very high.

The price is high if the effect of constantly falling short of our own goals and expectations results in self criticism and a feeling that we don’t measure up. And the result is less energy, less commitment, less goal setting. And we did it to ourselves.

It’s a balancing act between - on the one hand, stretching and keeping a high level of energy and commitment and confidence in ourselves and - on the other hand, getting discouraged because of our own self imposed failures.

That’s why the goal formula - SMART - is so important in setting goals. SMART, it stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time specific, helps us protect against the burnout and discouragement of setting goals that are beyond stretch - that are out there with dreams and ideals - nice to think about but no help when it comes to accomplishment - today.

Here are ten ways you can ensure that your goals are leading to your success, and not to your discouragement:

1 - If you constantly end the day with a sense of frustration because you didn’t meet all your goals and plans for that day - and celebration of what was accomplished is pushed aside by frustration - it’s time you changed your thinking. And working harder isn’t the answer.

2 - Few goals, no more than three to five, are better than many. Having many goals is often the result of confusing intention with action. Many goals can be a sign of not wanting to make the hard choices required by priorities.

3 - If you use a daily task/goal list, after completing it, take the least important third of the items and put them in the trash. Stop overbooking and when you do get all the things done you committed to do, treat a “fun to do” as a reward for a day well done.

4 - Create short term goals that represent progress and then focus on it. The problem with the big, long term goals is that they are so far away that progress is hard to sustain. Example. If you want to do 12 pullups as a goal, and right now you can’t do one, perhaps a short term goal of one will set you on the way to 12.

5 - Treat your goals as mileposts on a journey, rather than a destination. Every step can be celebrated; every step gets you closer to your dream; but celebrate the journey to keep commitment and energy positive.

6 - Don’t be reluctant to modify your goals when your instincts and actions tell you that that is a wise thing to do. Remember, insanity is continuing to do the same things and expecting a different outcome. That’s true with goals. Maybe the goal of pushing for 15 sales calls in a day is less important - and attainable - than 5 quality interviews in a day. Realize it’s the results that count.

7 - Give yourself, and others, credit and recognition for small victories. You know, the call you made that you had been dreading; the presentation that your team gave even though they dreaded having to give it; the analysis that wasn’t good news, but had to be reported; the irate customer that was helped. Others may not know the price you paid to do those things, but you know it. Give yourself a pat on the back for courage and commitment.

8 - Be flexible. In a perfect world we may have control of our time and how it is spent. In the real world, stuff happens. Deal with it - don’t see “stuff ” as an imposition, just do it. Then get back on track, even if the track has taken a sudden right turn.

9 - Realize that you are probably your own harshest critic. That’s good - that’s bad. Use your self criticism constructively - that’s good. Hand wringing and regret for things not done is bad - real bad. And while I’m not a student of the brain, have you ever noticed how we tend to soak up the things that didn’t go right much easier than we reward and recognize ourselves for the good stuff?

10 - Keep an Accomplishment Log or Journal. Every day write down what you accomplished and feel good about it.

Goals guide us and help us succeed - and help us know what success is. Keep them positive and reinforcing and SMART, and watch your own success grow.

Setbacks or permanment failure?

Temporary Setbacks or Permanent Failure?

Mountain climbing

Nearly thirty years ago, I went rock climbing for the first time with a group in New Mexico. It sounded exciting and challenging! After a day and a half of training, which they called, “bouldering,” we were ready to climb! Then reality set in.

When climbing a mountain, you just cannot go from the bottom to the top in five easy steps! There are obstacles and there are set backs. You also make mistakes. And, even though I was tied to a rope, and could not fall off the mountain, at times it was scary.

Anyone who has ever climbed knows that you can easily end up where there is no place to go, or so it seems. You’re stuck. But quitting is not an option.

You cannot just stand there and feel sorry for yourself. It is pointless to wonder what you did wrong that got you into such a predicament. You cannot go back down, so you are forced to become solution minded. In other words, you find a way to get to the top. You figure out a way to succeed.

I held on for dear life that day, on my first climb, stuck about three quarters of the way to the top. It seemed that there was no place to go, and nowhere to put my hands or feet so that I could continue upward. But after a few minutes had passed and I realized that I had to do something, I began to look again for a solution.

I then noticed a rock sticking out, that I might be able to grab with my hands and pull myself up to where I could have a small foothold. I called to the instructor at the top and asked him if that rock would hold my weight if I pulled myself up. I can still remember his answer, “I don’t know. Why don’t you try it and see?”

In life we many times feel, “stuck.” We wonder how we got into the situation that we are presently in. It is in those times that we need to be careful about how we define it. Have we failed, or, is it just a setback?

W. Clement Stone once said, “Defeat is never the same as failure unless and until it has been interpreted as such.”

Setbacks, adversity, or being stuck are never an indication that you are a failure unless you decide that those things define your life as a failure. For people looking for an excuse to be a failure, there are always plenty to choose from.

But if you want your life to be successful, setbacks, adversity and being stuck are simply stepping-stones to your success. Success minded people accept those kinds of things for what they really are. They know that for them, they are only temporary.

There are countless stories of men and women who faced setbacks and became very successful. Perhaps one of the most known is that of Abraham Lincoln. A number of “lists” that you can find on the internet are exaggerated, and some of the items are misleading and untrue. But Abe did indeed face a number of hard times and setbacks. Here are a few that I have found to be accurate.

His mother died when he was nine. He was co-owner of a general store in Illinois that went out of business. The girl he loved and wanted to marry, Ann Rutledge, died.

He failed in his first attempt to obtain political office for the Illinois state legislature. He did not get the land officer position that he wanted.

In two separate election years, he did not get elected to the United States Senate. He didn’t get enough votes to be his party’s nomination for Vice-President of the United States.

But, he was elected president of the United States in 1860 and in 1864.

It doesn’t matter what others think or say about you. How you define your own life and circumstances every day is very important. Define all your setbacks as simply temporary and refuse to even use the word “failure.”

By the way, I did grab onto that rock, and when I did, it moved, just a little! I then decided to grab it again. I realized that the worst that could happen was that it would come out and it might bang me up a little. I knew I couldn’t fall off the mountain because of the rope, so I pulled on that rock again!

It moved, just a little, but it held me as I pulled myself to the next foothold. Several minutes later, I was at the top. I informed the instructor that the rock sticking out a number of feet below us was loose. “Yes,” he said quietly, “I noticed that on my way up earlier.”

WHAT I LEARNT ABOUT KOREA FROM KOREAN DRAMAS

Dae Joyoung

I have always been a lover of Korean dramas and movies. I started watching Korean movies about 3 years ago while in Paris France. I can’t remember watching any French TV movie from beginning to the end; they were always boring to me, this lead to my quest for something decent to watch. The discovery of the Arirang TV channel, a Korean English Channel, because it was new in France then so there were a lot of Korean dramas with English subtitles. Later on Kbsworld was airing too. From these dramas I was able to learn some of Korean history, am going to write about these dramas in no particular orders. Am not going to narrate the story in the movies but what I learnt from them. This is going to be in series.
The king Dae Joyong
The T’ang dynasty of China attacked the ancient Korean kingdom of Goguryeo; this was in the mid 7th century. The Koreans fought several wars both internal and external, when the Chinese could not defeat them, the Chinese tried many unsuccessful times to destroy
Goguryeo. The Tang china used Shilla also an ancient kingdom of Korea to defeat the other
two kingdoms Goguryeo and Baekche.Shilla were not able to control the whole territory of Gogurgeo which was very large.

Tang China drove away the Goguryeo’s last king, his officials and about 200,000 thousand citizens of Gogurgeo were taken captive to China.
Tang China also removed Baekche royals and assigned a Tang general to govern them. China also appointed Tang generals to rule Gogurgeo.China also instigated the people of Goguryeo and Baekche to rebel against Shilla. These made Shilla to start fighting against China’s control, they later occupied all Baekche territory by taking over the Tang’s administrative headquarters.

The Koreans brought the invasion of the Chinese upon themselves because these three ancient kingdoms were competing with each other and engaged each other in wars in pursuit of territorial expansion. The irony of the whole gist is that the Chinese Emperor at that time was a woman, the first and only female emperor in China.
This epic drama is about a young guy who was born during that era; who dreamt about reviving Goguryeo, how he overcame difficulties in politics, military and diplomacy. The movie was an effort in recognising the contributions of Dae Joyoung who was the founder of Balhe kingdom, which played a great role in the continuation of the Korean lineage in Asia.
