Yesterday I realised that one of my jewellery set was missing, I searched the whole house for it and I was almost freaking out. Was I going to allow this lost ruin my whole week? Was I going to rule over my emotions and not allow myself to be upset and agitated? I made the decision to be happy because no matter how much I rant or complain, it’s not going to bring it back. I wore that set last September and haven’t set my eyes on it since then.
Today i turned the house upside down,yeah! I found it in one of my drawers.I was very happy because I needed to exchange my old ones for new designs.
We are going for Total AKPO FPSO Project farewell dinner party today, I have been searching for clothes to wear for 2 days now. If it were in Paris I would have gone to buy myself a dinner dress. It is impossible to get my size here or maybe I don’t know where to check.I am searching for dress in fabric that stretch and drape; diagonal darts for ease over my bust that will skim over my midsection. I have a full short neck so am looking for a U or V necklines to accentuate the length of my neckline and expose a bit of cleavage. I planned to wear it with high heeled shoes. How I dress is very important to me because how you dress is how you will be addressed. It is not the price on clothing that matters but how well it fits your body type.I will post the photos from the dinner.Well going back to my search.

Can’t we just eat our food in peace the way we want and get over with it?
I promised in my post Akpo Project to post the photos from the dinner party,which took place on the same day of the naming ceremony of FPSO AKPO Project.It was attended by the creme de la creme of the oil and gas industries.
Some of the guests that I remembered are :MD DPR(directory of petroleum regulatory) Mr Chukwueke,
Directors of SAPETRO General T.Y Danjuma and Senator Daisy Danjuma,MD TOTAL S A,MD NNPC(Nigerian National petroleum Co-operation) MD PETROBRAZ,MD HHI (Hyundai Heavy Industries),The Nigerian Ambassador in South Korea and his wife,MD TECHNIP,Korea performers,the MDs of the other companies mentioned in my post AKPO PROJECT. My twins God father Mr Otigbah,my bestfriend and my humble self.

AKPO project is the development of oil and gas field located at 150 km and 1400 meters deep-sea offshore Nigeria, West Africa. The AKPO field block was originally allocated to SAPETRO indigenous Nigeria oil and gas company under OPL226 (Oil Prospecting License). SAPETRO later invited other technical partner such as TOTAL S A (France), PETROBRAS (Brazil), which helped in oil and gas discovery and developmental studies. AKPO project Basic Engineering phase contract was done by DORIS Engineering France in 2003. AKPO project was sanctioned for development by Nigeria government in 2005, consequently famed in as project partner through NNPC (Nigeria National Petroleum Company) and the field changed to OML130 (Oil Mining License), CNOOC (Chinese) later joined as project partner.
The project consists of 5 principal components namely;
1. Topside
2. Hull
3. UFR
4. Sub sea
5. Drilling
Main contracts on AKPO project were as follows;
• FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) consist of Topside and Hull was awarded to consortium of Technip (France) and Hyundai Heavy Industries (South Korea). Detail Engineering was partly done in France and South Korea, while construction is done in Hyundai Heavy Industries offshore construction yard in Ulsan South Korea.
• UFR (Umbilical Floating and Risers) consist of sea lines and flow line risers connecting the FPSO to the seabed wells was awarded to Siapem (France). Detail Engineering done in France and construction in Nigeria (Siapem yard and Niger dock).
• Sub Sea consists of sub sea Xmas tress, well manifold and HPU (Hydraulic Power Unit) was awarded to Cameron with activities in Leeds (UK), Houston (USA), Celle (Germany) and Warri (Nigeria).
• Drilling was awarded to Deepwater Discovery
First oil production is expected in first quarter of 2009.
I tried not to be too technical in writing about this project,I hope it wasn’t.There are so much to be written about AKPO project.I will post the photos from the dinner party next time.
Total has launched the 2nd major deep sea oil Project the ULSAN project,this one will start up as AKPO leaves.
Our project here is coming to an end, last Friday the moving company came to check our things for shipping. We didn’t have much load since we didn’t stay up to a year in South Korea. We lived in a furnished apartment unlike in Paris, France where we had a mansion to ourselves. We are leaving for New York for vacation then proceed to Canada. It is a vacation well deserve, I am hoping that I will rest well during these period before going to face a whole new challenge that awaits me.
Yesterday was the naming ceremony for the TOTAL FPSO AKPO Project; it is a Korean ritual after building each platform. I will tell you about the project in my next post, we also had a dinner party to celebrate the end of this very huge project.
I will get a better photo on Sunday when we go for the final tour in and around the shipyard.

This is how we recycle every Tuesday morning from 7.00am to 8.30am.Everyone brings out their saved recyclable trash that they have been sorting out through out the week.
Benefits of Recycling
• Conserves resources for our children’s future.
• Prevents emissions of many greenhouse gases and water pollutants.
• Saves energy.
• Supplies valuable raw materials to industry.
• Creates jobs.
• Stimulates the development of greener technologies.
• Reduces the need for new landfills and incinerators
This man and some others are employed to keep our estate clean,they are very dedicated to their work and do their job religiously every morning.I guess the people in charge pays their salaries on time.
These bins are supplied to every apartment in our estate for collection of other types of refuge that can not wait till Tuesday.
