My blog posts are becoming too boring, so I thought that I should do some fun things to liven it up for you my friends. I don’t know if my friends and family are going to like what am about to do, that is if they get to read my blog.
“There comes a point in your life when you realize who really matters, who never did, and who always will.”
This idea came to me because of a discussion I had with husband 2 days ago. I went to make gold pendant in my friends names translated in Korean alphabets as a special gift from Korea. After ordering them I realised that I didn’t know one of my friends full name, getting home I told my best friend why I couldn’t make one for that particular friend of mine. He couldn’t understand how I will not know her full name somebody who has been friend for so long. Well that is the difference between me and so many other people that I have met. In honour to those my friends I am going to try to write what I can remember about them that made them so unique to be able to tolerate me. Should I start with friends or family? Should I mention names? Add their photos? You all know that I am blunt but I will try to be nice. I have met different types of people that became friends with me although we are not on the same page. I am going to tell you how and when I met each of them, I am so excited about this I do have some funny nicknames for most of them. I have to go to bed now so stay tuned to get the whole scoop. Yes! The last day of school and nothing else to mention about it, a soon as I woke up I took a shower and then packed my beddings and everything that belongs to me. I packed and sent everything out of my room, and then our R.A. came to check our rooms. Then I went to school empty handed, today we were going to play games and the principal showed us the directions and locations of where the games were. Mr. Dewey was another Math and Science teacher for 7th and 8th graders. He told us which homeroom would go for which game; we played only half of all the games and then the homerooms with the most points wins and gets prizes of candies.

Our homeroom was the only one that didn’t get any prize, but anyway it was lunchtime. After lunchtime everyone went back to the reception area and the principal told everyone to go to the auditorium. We sat in our homeroom groups and they were going to give out two hundred certificates, they name all of the subjects that you can have in middle school. I got four certificates and they were all growth awards, the subjects were Math, Technology, Bible, and Social Studies. I knew that my father would be proud that I got math for an award, because he had been teaching me math at the weekends. When the awards were over there was time left so the 6th and 7th graders went out while the 8th graders stayed, the 6th graders went to the reception area and the 7th graders went to the tennis court. We both played games and ate until school was over. Everyone in the dorm hurried the dorm to pack their bags and go to the bus, I had three bags and it was very difficult to carry. I carried all my bags to the bus and the bus took us to the bus station, Mr. Eric gave us our tickets when our bus arrived, it was going to take us to Ulsan. Then everyone that was going to Ulsan entered the bus and it was the last time that we were entering and riding that bus.

On Thursday the teachers were going to hand out the year books that included everything that happened in the year. When everyone got a year book those of us in middle school tried to get comments from anybody who wanted to sign our book, we did it until lunchtime. After we ate lunch we went to clean our lockers, but I have already cleaned mine earlier on so I played basketball, until it was time for the talent show that was in the activity room. Some performed, but two people quit (sad story for them). Most of them were songs and two of them were dances, then it was time for everyone to dance. Several people danced, especially the teachers. Then it was time to go back to our dorm, I went back to the dorm. I went with David in my dorm who is an 8th grader (he not the same one I met in ever land). We went to Y-sense where they sell things that you need for school and then to Kaldi where they sell drinks. David bought me a goodbye gift in Kaldi; it was a strawberry shake. We went back into the dorm and I went to play basketball when it stopped raining, I played one on one with Ben who was in 7th grade and the score was nine to ten, he won. Then we played two on two with William and Sang Hyun, two Koreans. We lost Ben and I, and then it was almost time for dinner. So I went back into the dorm and we ate dinner, after dinner we did deep clean! This is where we had to empty our room and clean it very well; the only thing that had to be left was of bed and our last clothes for tomorrow. It took me about ninety minutes to do that because I don’t have a roommate, then I had to wait for Mr. Eric who was the boys Residence Assistance or R.A (as we use to call him) had to come and check my room and check my damage deposit. I waited for thirty minutes for him. He checked my room for damages and there were some damages. I gave the damage deposit to our dorm mom, who is Mrs. Tiece, then it was time to have our last party in Adams dorm, we ate chicken and brownie and had some drinks. After the party we had to go to the Auditorium and watch a movie of the year in Adams dorm. It was so funny and it lasted for thirty minutes.

Then everyone went back to the dorm, but instead of going to bed we started signing yearbooks. It was just like we did in the beginning of school, so everyone signed everyone’s yearbooks including Mr. Ted, Mrs. Tiece, Miss Amy, and Mr. Eric. Then everyone went to bed.
Last week of School by Chinedu
June 7, 2008

Ah… yes, the last week of school. When most students; don’t have to do much except the 8th graders. The high school students had their exams. Well the first two days of school, we had our normal classes and watched movies, had snacks it was fun. In the dorm we had fun too, with no study hall except for 8th graders because of their exams. The important thing we did in the dorm; we had to do is to pack our belongings.
On Wednesday was our Middle School and Elementary School trip to Ever land. Ever land was near Seoul, so we took the school bus every grade in Middle School had their bus and I think also was the elementary. It was only grade 4 and 5 in our bus, off we went to Seoul, I started to sleep, and so when I get there I would not be tired (that was what my mum told me when we went to Disney land). Everyone was in groups of six and had a guardian. The principal bought our ticket from our money that we gave earlier. It was only a paper band for our hand. We entered Ever land and had to be back by two twenty, I had fun for four hours with my group, we went on two rides, one called the T-express and the Circling Hurricane, the T-express was a roller coaster and the Circling Hurricane was a ride that went up and down and around, then we ate lunch. We ate in Burger King and I ate burger and chips and drank Fanta. After my group left with out me, because I was still playing, so after I ate I went looking for them. But anyway it was almost two o’clock and I had to start heading for the bus, as I was going there I found a place were there were games, I had to be smart enough that my group must have been heading to the bus. I thought one person in my group might have gone there because he was good at games. But when I got there, they weren’t there, but I met David and William who were my classmates. They played games and I played too, but only one. After, I followed them into the candy shop and they bought lots of candy and we went out and waited outside until everyone came, I saw my group and they said they were sorry. Everyone went back into the bus and then we headed back to our school in Taejon. I was asleep because 6th graders were going on a picnic right after we came off the bus. We came off the bus and our teacher Mr. McDonnell who was a math and science teacher said that we were leaving by four forty five and we waited until that time. But he wasn’t there; we saw him and we left by five thirty. It took us one hour to reach where we were going by city bus. Every 6th grader left the bus and was heading to the place where the picnic was held. The place had a soccer field and a basketball street court and also places to exercise. First we ate then played all we wanted, we played Cops and Robbers and then Mr. McDonnell came and said that we had to be leaving in fifteen minutes, I looked at the time and we stayed only an hour. So we packed the left over food and threw away the trash. We headed to the bus stop and waited for the bus to come and when the bus came we entered and headed back to our school. Some day students left at some bus stops and some stayed until we reached our school. It was dark, and everyone went home or to Adam’s dorm.
