Few more weeks to go

Taekwando

Kachi got his green belt this week from his Taekwando class,he started with a white belt after some months he got his yellow belt.It is a pity that we wouldn’t which colour of belt he would have gotten next.He is so proud of his green belt,he also came 2nd in a race during their school sports day.He had his kindy graduation ceremony and a send off party for his class teacher who went back to Greece.
Chinedu is coming home today for the summer long vacation,last weekend when he came home he was worried about leaving his friends.We told him that he will make new friends in his new school.He has grown a lot in the past one year,he won the Principled award.This award is given to any student who was able to achieve more personal responsibility and a commitment towards his school work in a particular academic session.His exemplary improvements and actions are commendable,we are so proud of him.He also got the Risk-takers award,this award is for anyone who could take up a challenge
of something he is not used to doing before.He played in his school basketball team,generally i think he had fun living in a boarding school.
We are preparing ourselves emotionally for our big move,some many things to do in such a short time.
I believe it is all for the best,I will be going for the tour on the FPSO AKPO platform on sunday evening.

    great news about chinedu…
    it always warm my heart to see younger ones
    making tremendous progress in their academic life.

    more power to his elbow; extend my best wishes to him.
    telling there’s always more laurels to be won…there’s no
    resting on one’s oars.

    about kachi…nice progress!
    i personally just don’t see any fighting-sports as appropriate;
    it gives me a sense of violence. that’s the way i look at it.
    well, we can all argue, it’s good for self-defence…

    but it’s a sport that calls for deliberate hurting of the other
    participant.

    yes, the emotional preparation is very vital at this point;
    never overlook it- especially should the kids be helped to
    understand it in the very best way possible…

    perhaps, you can ask them, “what will you miss about here?”
    “will you like to move to another country?” “would you mind going to this country to live?”…you may choose to tell them
    some very vital stories about the new destination…

    you can help them with a balanced view of the new place
    you’ll finally be moving to…may the sun of your life never set.
    keep on keeping on.

      They are taught not to fight,we haven’t seen him trying out his skills on his younger ones.I haven’t gotten any complain from his school about him on that note.
      Maybe i will tell Chinedu to write what how he feels about the whole moving thing.Lets see what he will come up with.
