Stress Management

Stress Management - Declutter your thoughts instead of your house a stress solution for life

When your stressed you often live with clutter. Clutter in your home, in your office, your car and your life. It may not be easy but it’s fairly simple to begin to declutter your environment. You select a room or area to declutter and begin to clear out the area by throwing things that are unusable and giving away items that are usable but you no longer need. The difficult part is to give up those items that you’re emotionally attached to. Clutter comes in all forms, from the never ending to do list, the messy bathroom to stress of holding onto a relationship that is literally destroying your mind.

But what about the mind. Clutter in the mind causes confusion, you may experience loss of energy and overwhelm. But you can’t throw out the mind or give it away because it’s usable but you no longer need it.

One way to declutter the mind is to simply write. That may seem oversimplified but it’s a fact. When you write about a stressful situation you not only record your thoughts but you defuse the stress. A stress journal is the perfect solution. (more…)

Looking Online in an Economic Crisis

We are living in very unique times. We are moving through uncharted waters. All around us we are hearing of the growing economic crisis.

The US has been experiencing an ongoing real estate downturn for many months now. This was fueled by the problems of subprime loans which were defaulting by the thousands. Banks that held these loans began to suffer.

At first it seemed isolated, but with the downfall of the world’s 3rd biggest investment bank, Lehman Brothers, and the United States biggest savings bank, Washington Mutual, the crisis has spread all over the world. Talk quickly turned to a “goverment bailout” in the US.

The first European financial crisis victim was German Hypo Real Estate with a 35,000,000,000 EUR ($46,589,000,000) debt. The urgent German goverment financial help for saving Hypo Real Estate was finally approved by European Commission.

With many companies feeling the crunch the next step is downsizing and layoffs. The car industry, for instance, is already announcing cut backs in car production. Unemployment will rise and many will be without work. When and where will it all end? Will things continue to get worse and worse? (more…)

Attitude Is Everything

Introduction

If you don’t adjust your attitude, your life will continue as it is today. Oh yes, you’ll have periods when it seems like you’re better off than you were a year ago and then Bam! You’ll realize you’re exactly the same. Nothing has changed.

That’s because your bad attitude hasn’t changed. Do you want your life to be different? If the answer is yes, then make the commitment right now, today, to consciously turn your life around by adjusting your attitude.

Develop a winning attitude A really positive attitude change involves practice, commitment, time and effort.

A continuous effort is necessary to keep you from falling back into old stinking thinking habits. Look in the mirror each morning and congratulate your self on your efforts. Then go somewhere quiet and write in your journal.

Why keep a journal? Say What? What’s this about writing in a journal? Well, in order to clean up and change your attitude to one of gratitude you will need to do a few new things:

Keep a Journal - Get a spiral notebook and name it “My Daily Journal.” In it write down all the positive attitudes you experience each day and also all the negative self-defeating ones. No need for a moral judgement.

Write each day and notice how the patterns change. Within days you’ll notice that you:

Feel better

Smile at more people and more people smile at you

Accomplish more

Have a sense that life is good Are discovering a new you.

Learn to meditate.

Arrange for some quiet time each day.

Read inspirational books, take a walk, visualize, ask a higher power for guidance. Just take time to be with yourself. You’ll be in good company.

Take a personal inventory. Make a list of all the people you know, living and those deceased.

Make amends. List the amend you owe them. Arrange to meet with them, call them or write a letter. Make your amends; this will clean up the wreckage of your past.

Start walking. Walking makes the whole body feel good and when your body feels good your attitude becomes more positive. You’ll feel the benefits immediately.

You still have lots of work to do. You’ll perceive everything differently the instant you make a decision to change your attitude.

By day two you’ll be a happier person. There is real power in committing to change your life. You will feel better. I guarantee it.
