How Time Flies!

The Passage of Time

Compliments of the season! yesterday was my wedding anniversary yeah! i know please don’t ask me how it went. I doubt if my husband remembered, for me it was a time for reflection, this time last year we were in a hotel in far away Seoul in South Korea,we had so much fun, but this year was different we stayed at home in Lagos Nigeria. It was memorable because we extended our love to a family that was going through some difficulties,we invited them over, talk to them make them understand that there is always a better tomorrow.I missed my Korean movies and TV dramas,i checked some of their websites yesterday to see what has been going on.As far as business goes Nigeria is the best place to be expect for those Email scams that originates from here, although i think that the people that falls victim are the greedy ones that wants to inherit money from a relative that never existed.I have dropped most of my online business so am fully into my photography business and some other offline business.I am still doing my Marykay business although not with the kind of passion that i usually put into my businesses,i am still investing in Silver maybe i will start selling soon well that depends on the economy.I hate the postal services here it is so unlike Korea imagine having a package which i have been tracking arrived and was cleared from DHL Lagos office since 10.35am on the 24th of Dec and not receiving it yet.Lets hope they delivers it today or else i will be really mad and then do what? i wonder since i don’t have any control over such issues. As for my photography business what can i say,it has been wonderful i have met a lot the good the bad the ugly people here in Nigeria. The good ones surpasses the bad,the ugly ones so am going to write about the good ones soon.I got some photography jobs with 2 modeling agencies and 1 weekly magazine and 1 monthly magazine which is not a bad move if you ask me.I am trying hard to get something from a guy that works with UN will let you know how it goes.January is going to be jam packed with work for me,am not complaining rather i am very grateful to God for his blessings in this year.I am chatting with someone on msn live who asked what i do for fun,my reply was work my work is fun, imagine being paid for having fun.I guess he didn’t understand how passionate i am about my job.I guess i am in a rambling mood today,am home with no where to go since almost everyone has traveled for the holidays which means no work for me until first week in January. My kids are fine and enjoying their holidays, got some wonderful news this season a cousin of mine in New York gave birth to a baby girl last week, not forgetting my female best friend gave birth to a baby girl on Christmas day am green with envy for 2 reasons she got a baby girl and on Christmas day what a lucky girl. My friend Kemistry Olisaemeka is having a funky birthday bash on Tuesday at K’s place bye the way she is a Dj and a radio presenter in Nigeria and today is Kelechi Amadi Obi’s birthday he is a wonderful and talented photographer.Well that is it for today more gist later. The DHL guy just brought my parcel oh! i love the the postal services here,am off to open my package.

I Am Having Fun!

Click here to view this photo book.

I am having fun doing what i love and making good money from it.I had a very busy weekend of parties and photo sessions. Our generator has been installed,my best friend got us an inverter which serves for the whole day if fully charged expect that we can’t use air conditioner with it but that’s okay am not complaining, well expect for the traffic jams i face everyday. The kids are on holidays now,Kachi just turned 5years on the 13th of this month we didn’t celebrate it because i had a photo session that day but his dad took them out for ice cream and some fast food. Our estate children party held the next day (Sunday) i couldn’t go because i was working on another photo session.daddy took his kids there they all had fun and i had fun too.I now understand the importance of doing what you love,if it is your passion its no longer work but fun, imagine been paid to have fun.My clients so far are satisfied which is very important to me because i will rather have one very happy client than having a hundred unhappy ones.I am sleepy right so have fun viewing the photo book that i just created,i had a swell time at that event it was fun all through.I will love to hear what you think about this book so leave your comments and bye for now.

Do What You Love and Get Paid for It!

Sometimes a Spy gets Spied!!! Spy shot of me & my bazooka lens *Lol

According to a recent Harris poll, 72% of American households are thinking about starting a home-based business. So you can see, you are not alone in your interest to earn some extra money from home.

More and more people are dropping out of the rat race to provide services and/or goods from home. The best thing is you can start part-time and build until you can drop the “day job” if that is your goal.

For many, working from home is the best choice, for example the stay-at-home spouse, or those who are retired. For others, working from home may be the only option and working from home has even proven to be an excellent (if unexpected) opportunity for hundreds of thousands of people caught up in corporate downsizing.

The trick to finding a good work from home job is figuring out how to do something you love to do and do it in a way you can get paid for it.

One great way is to Turn Your Knowledge Into Revenue.

Become an “information entrepreneur”; An “infopreneur.” Basically… monetize what you know.

The good news is that there has never been a better time to start a business from home.

The proliferation of the Internet makes starting a business a low-cost and therefore low-risk route. It has high potential due to the fact that the Internet doesn’t mind working 24/7 and 365 days a year. It also can reach out across a street, a city, a country. The internet allows you to reach people anywhere in the world.

Forget the long string of “classic work-at-home” dead-end jobs (ex., envelope-stuffing and telemarketing). Use the Web to build something terrific that excites you, a business to be proud of, that you own, and that earns you an actual income.

The bad news, if there is any, is that building a real business, no matter what kind, requires work. Be cautious of the many “get rich quick” schemes and the offers of great rewards for no or low work is probably a fraud. (more…)

Discover Your True Passion

High fashion
Photo taken outside of my house.

One key component to the ability to find success is to find your passion and pursue it. But what does that mean to find your passion, and how do you go about finding it? Another way to say it is, “What do you love most in life?” What brings you the most fulfillment? What would you do if you had all the money in the world, you were done splurging and traveling abroad and you could just spend your time doing what you want to do? Most of us already know the answer to that. But for some of us, there is a mental block that keeps us from truly realizing it. That mental block can come from a number of different sources. Regardless of the source, the result is that you are not able to fully recognize what your passion truly is.

There are a number of reasons you may have trouble realizing what your true passion is. One is pressure from family members or others you respect and admire to pursue an expected vocation or profession. Usually, the vocation or profession is high paying, has a high social status or is a long-standing tradition in the family. They may have the best of intentions, even playing match-maker with you and a career that seems to be a good fit… to them. In this case, your inability to realize your true passion can stem from not wanting to disappoint people you admire or care about. Your desire to make them proud may stifle any desire you may have to do something else.

Another reason your passion may be difficult to recognize is that you may feel trapped in whatever situation you currently are in. To you, the doors for other opportunities are closed. You may even feel trapped by your own lack of confidence in your ability to make your dream a reality. “If there is no expectation, there is no disappointment,” you rationalize. Or, you may not see a way to make it happen financially. This is especially true if you would need to pay for education or training. You may also think that you are too busy, too young, too old, or that it is too late. You do not allow yourself to entertain the possibility of attaining your dream because you do not want to desire something you think you cannot have. (more…)
