Be Happy…

I wrote this article sometime ago before my web log crashed.
I felt I should repeat. It was about an article from Alex Shalman
about this Happiness project
where he asked everyone to join in the writing project by answering 5 questions about happiness
in your own perspective. You can try out it is very uplifting like a spiritual awareness; check the guides
on how you can be part of this great project:3Z6A2573 m

How do you define happiness?
Happiness to me is the choices we make in life, and I believe that it is a matter of ones decision.
Happiness is marrying my best friend and be able to find a balance in our lives despite the fact that we are totally opposite in many ways. He is a very routine and organised person, I can almost predict his every move, while I like variety, adventure and I taking a lot of risks. Where he is agitated, am always calm. I always believe that things we work out fine. We are able to love ourselves unconditionally.
Happiness is having a happy home for my kids, being able to give my kids everything they deserve to be better people in the future. Happiness is earning money doing what I love. Happiness is being able to find something good in other people. Happiness is travelling around the world without worrying where the cash is coming from. Happiness is giving my work all my best and believing in me.
Happiness is waking up every morning close to the person who cares & supports me.
Happiness is God lifting me up to a stable and a higher ground.
Happiness is knowing that I can touch someone in a positive way.
Happiness is having the ability to choose to dwell on what I have, and not on, what I don’t have.
Happiness is sitting down and writing about these happy thoughts.
Happiness to me is that you are reading this today.

On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your happiness now versus when you were a child?
I will go with 9-5; this one was a bit difficult because I don’t know if this includes my teenage years.
Well whatever I am a very happy person now compare to my childhood. My father was very strict and I had to study always.
Growing up wasn’t much fun, but it made me a better person now.
What do you do on a daily basis that brings you happiness? (And how consistent is, the feeling
of happiness, through out your day?)
Preparing my kids for school every morning although very hectic, it is a source of happiness to me. To know that these kids are depending on me. I walk them to school while singing my favourite songs to them, like “this is the day that the lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it”.
I feel happy through out the day till about 7pm when I have to feed my 3 kids who are 5years dinner, that’s when I feel less happy but when the meal is over. We have our little after dinner song “if you are happy and you know clap hands” after that they have their drinks and we are all good again till bed time.

What things take away from your happiness? What can be done to lessen their impact or remove them from your life?
Negative destructive thoughts, will I be able to achieve all that I dream of? Are these my goals/dreams realistic?
This can be lessening or removed from my life if and only when I completely focus on my potentials and believing that nothing is impossible.
.

What do you plan on doing in the future that will bring you even more happiness?
I will add a strong work ethics to my talents to set myself aside from others in my field.
To be one of the world’s top photographers
Starting my own clothing line.
To showcase my cloth line in all the major fashion show.
Appearing on, CNN art of life.
Vacationing in the Caribbean; with my husband, away from work and kids.
To help as many people as possible achieve their dreams.
Adopting a baby girl and giving her a chance of being loved.

    the creator of heaven and earth is a happy God;
    he wants his intelligent human creatures to be happy;

    happiness is found in being at peace with
    the only true God…and such is expressed
    by demonstrating love to fellow creatures;

    and things around us both animals and inanimate
    things…

    it’s such a nice project going on there…
    it reminds me of a research that named the
    nigerian people the happiest folks on earth!

    i don’t know if they still are…
    but imagine, such country being happy in a
    tumultous and impoverished environs!

    even looking deeper, happiness can be
    reduced to a personal thing…
    what gives me a ‘kick’ may not give you such.

    above all, i’ll say, since happiness can be
    reduced to how an individual feels
    we must take happiness to be that great inside
    feeling that should- not aggravate- the feelings
    of others…

    our happiness, in the end should add light
    to the gloomy world.

    i rest my case.

      Beibee the most important is being happy
      it doesn’t really matter how you achieve that,
      when you are happy it affects people around
      in good way.Is that not adding light to the
      gloomy world?

        Beibee, I agree with you. I can choose to be happy in obedience to the command, “Rejoice Always” or I choose the devil’s suggestion, complaining about downturn business, entrepreneur challenges I am facing and all such.

        Well my choice is to be HAPPY ;-) I am happy that I am alive. I am grateful for good health and sound mind. All other things that I desire will surely follow.

        Thanks for visiting my blog. I am sorry to hear about your site having a major technical hitch. It is a good thing you have decided to forge ahead. Remember the bible says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all”

        You can build a more glorious site. Just keep at it. If there is anything I can do to help, I will gladly contribute. Cheers.

                  Yes it is more blessed to give than to recieve
                  giving is not related only to material things
                  at times just giving someone a shoulder to lean on
                  or just listen.

                    you’re very correct…
                    the greatest giving wasn’t material;

                    there’s no love greater
                    than this- that a someone should
                    give his soul on behalf of another!
