Anger Management

Anger Management - The Psychologist Methods of Controlling Anger

We have all been angry at sometime or another whether we were just simply annoyed or really enraged. This is a natural feeling that everyone has to deal with at one time or another, if you have never been angry, you are not human. One in five people in America have an anger problem. This means that instead of controlling anger they let the anger control them.

Uncontrollable anger can also affect those around the person who has the anger problem Anger can be a very dangerous and unhealthy problem if left untreated. Anger management is the process of learning to control one’s anger through a series of techniques.

There are two types of anger passive and aggressive. Passive anger is expressed in behavior like self blame, self sacrifice, obsessive behavior and secretive behavior. Aggressive anger is expressed in physical violence, verbal abuse, threats, bullying, unjust blaming, selfishness and vengeance.

There could be a number of reasons why someone could be angrier than the rest. Many people are easily angered for several reasons. This problem could be genetic; it is theory that some babies are born easily angered or touchy. Some people believe psychologically that they do not have to deal with frustrations and annoyances.

Many of these people express their anger by being chronically grumpy or irritable. Another reason for anger problems could be the way society views the emotion, meaning that people are encouraged to show many emotions but anger is not one of them. This often leads to repression.

There are many methods that psychologist use to help people control their anger; some methods can be used by the patient in the privacy of their own home. Psychologist now believe that letting it all out is not such a good idea and could be potentially dangerous to the person who is angry and who they are angry with.

The best thing to do about anger is to find out what is making you angry and figure out a way to keep those things from making you angry. Using relaxation techniques is one of the best ways to control anger that seems to be uncontrollable. Try using breathing techniques and counting to ten or saying things like “take it easy” or “just relax”.

You should avoid using words like “never” and “always” when you are talking about the thing or person that made you mad in the first place. This is called cognitive restructuring, which means just simply changing the way you think. Also, not all anger is misplaced, some anger comes from very real issues. Try not to focus on the solution, try to focus on how you handle the problem at hand.

Humor is another effective way of controlling anger. Try to use silly humor when you are angry at something or someone. For example, instead of calling someone a bonehead you can picture that person with a bone as a head. Drawing the person as a bonehead could be even better for your anger problem. This will take your anger by turning it into something funny and make you chuckle. Laughter is the best medicine.

The #1 Most Common Goof In Personal Development

The #1 Most Common Goof In Personal Development Is Trying To Get Rid Of Your Ego - Part 1

One consistent and popular theme concerning the Ego is it is looked upon as bad and something we have to constantly work to get rid of. I myself fell into constantly berating the ego and fighting against it. Doing this unknowingly created an on going and increasing problem for myself. The more I fought against the ego, the more confused I became, and less confident I felt. If you have experienced much of the same, let me explain what happen that changed all that for me.

Somewhere deep inside I was feeling that something was missing in what I could do to help myself gain more clarity, confidence and ultimately live my birth right of health, wealth and happiness. I called out for help. When I asked I received huge assistance in the form of being able to look at life and what was happening in my life more unconditionally. I felt fortune was smiling on me because I came across an understanding of the Ego that I have never seen elsewhere. It was through a course that provided insights and a framework for life, in a very grounded systemic way that allowed me to make giant strides in my life and move me forward at a pace that I had never experienced before because I understood cause and effect, attraction and countless other principles on a much deeper and simpler level.

By using this material (mentioned at the end of this article), I was able to integrate the powerful knowledge this course provided and actually use my Ego, unconditionally and responsibly to assist me and empower me to easily meet my goals.

Let me share briefly upon what this material taught and awakened within me as a level of truth I knew was missing yet didn’t know where to find it.

We Are Actually Supposed To Have An Ego

We are supposed to have an ego. I just didn’t know how to allow my Ego to serve me instead of distract me. Our Ego is a part of us just as our heart and soul are a part of us. Yet this is the only part of us that is described as “something we need to get rid of.” It is like someone telling us that we need to get rid of our left arm, or our lungs. Those are the physical parts of us that we use to function as a body in this dimension, just as our Ego as a part of our being, allows us to function in this dimension. We require our Ego to experience life through our own personality, viewpoint and our own way of being. The Ego expresses our preference for lemonade over orange juice, or our preference for vacations in Hawaii over vacations in London. Our Ego is what makes life interesting for us, our Ego is what allows us to express our unique gift throughout the world. It is the one thing that makes us unique unto ourselves.

Is there any wonder why we have all struggled for years and years attempting to ‘get rid’ of our Ego? Why would we want to eliminate the very thing that gives us our own unique flavor?

Stay tuned for part 2 of the article where we discuss what getting rid of the Ego is really confused with and why understanding the ego is important to our personal development.

How To Take An Idea To The Next Level.

How To Take An Idea And Turn It Into Tangible Merchandise

From Product Creation to Selling: How to Take an Idea and Turn It Into Tangible Merchandise

If you take a look at every product you’ve ever used or heard about, you’re actually looking at the manifestation of an idea. Once upon a time, it was an idea that spawned its creation from mobile phones to video games to sneakers, even the food we eat and the movies we watch. Some of the biggest and most respected companies today began their business by creating and then selling an idea that later became a product. That little seed of genius that floats around in your head may just be your ticket to fortune, fame and a dream come true. Here’s how:

Creating the product

There are several ways you can create a product. One is to create it from an original idea, another to rehash an idea that’s already there and modify it and still another is to find the market first and then create an idea that will either meet a need or create one.

Design your product

You could keep your product as an idea in your head but it’s best if you put it down on paper. This will help give you a different perspective on how you want it to be. Ask yourself questions: What will your product be? What will be its purpose or value? What will it look like? Will its design compete with what’s already out on the market or will it affect its marketability?

Don’t underestimate design. According to Apple’s Steve Jobs, it’s so much more than just veneer; it’s actually interior decor. That means it is integral to the identity and function of the product itself. For the latest iMac model, for example, Jobs fought not to have a fan installed on the equipment. This resulted to a more intensive engineering design but a far more superior machine in terms of thermal management.

Research the market

Having a product is one thing while having a market to sell it to is another. Determine who will buy your product. Is there a real market for it out there? Will it sell easily or will it have to rely heavily on a lot of promotions and advertising?

If you don’t have a clear idea what your product will be, it will help if you look at the industry you’re interested in and see if there is a need that you can fill.

Selling the product

The very first thing you should consider when selling your product is strategy. There is so much more to selling a product you have created than just pushing it at someone. Look at your product from all angles and determine how it will compete.

Decide on your product sales route

How and where you will sell your product will affect your pricing and even its production and handling. Will you be selling it exclusively online or offline as well? Will you be using an affiliate program or direct retail? If you use an affiliate program, will your pricing cover for the commissions? If you will be selling in bulk, can you give discounts off the original price? Can the selling method sustain your business and help it grow?

Set your pricing

The next concern you should have when selling your product is pricing. Pricing has been the downfall of many would-be entrepreneurs and even more established ones, so if you’re not careful, it could ruin your chances of success.

Make pricing part of your strategy. Determine the cost of production including overhead expenses and then put a reasonable markup on the product. Pricing should cover everything from the creation of the product to its sales. It should also be priced in a way that makes it attractive and yet promote its value at the same time.

Supply and demand

Another consideration is supply and demand. How long you will be selling your product will depend on how long you can continue producing it. Where will the materials be sourced and are there factors that will affect how the product will be produced in the future? Is there real demand for the product or do you have to create it?

If your product has been created as a result of another product or to accessorize and supplement it, do you foresee any modifications that might adversely affect your product sales? If you sell customized leather casings for iPods, for example, you could face some serious production concerns once it changes its size or design in a major way.

Your competitors

When selling your product, you need to keep your eye on your competitors. What they sell, how they sell it, to whom they sell it and for how much will greatly impact your business.

Promoting your product

Now that you have created your product, it’s time to begin promoting your product in order to sell it. What type of advertising do you need for the product and where will you advertise? Decide whether building a website is enough or if you need to tap other more traditional methods of promotion. You will have to review your advertising efforts from time to time to determine if it benefits your business or takes away from it unnecessarily.

Our day in spring Festival by Chinedu

spiderman

It was a sunny afternoon and my family was ready to go to the Spring Festival. My dad came with a blue shirt on and took us (without the car) a soccer field, where the festival was. Then we went to a bigger soccer field where mostly everyone was, my brother kachi started crying and my parents told me to take him to the bouncing Titanic and Zoo. So I took him there and removed his shoes, first he was scared and then we came off. We put on our shoes and went to play soccer, it was much better for him. After there wasn’t anything to do, so I took Kachi again to the bouncing Zoo and this time he agreed to play and play and play. I was with him until my dad came with the twins and told me that Kachi and I had to go and eat dinner Kachi didn’t want to come, so I went to get food to eat. When I came back, my dad told me to say with my twin brothers, while he got his own food. Then stayed until my dad came. We both sat near the pushchair, then my mum and uncle Razac came and we ate together. When we finished we released the twins to get their energy back. So dad and I followed each on of them.

Then an announcement came that there was going to be a game. So we went up (the twins were in the pushchair) to the big soccer field and watch all the games. At that time Shawn and Kachi were out while Joel was in the pushchair, we ate popcorn and drank Pepsi. Then the awards came and uncle Razac won a prize! He was in the last game. When we saw the award and everything we went on uncle Razac’s car and he drove the whole of my family home to our house.
